This webinar will present a description of the call transfer protocol to be used by Covered California to transfer applicants to their county of residence when applying for insurance affordability programs. The webinar will also discuss the provisions of the draft Memorandum of Understanding between each of the three county consortia, DHCS and Covered California that governs the transfer protocol.

The purpose of this webinar is to provide a progress update for licensed insurance agents and discuss their role with Covered California. On the 90 minute call, we will take questions and encourage agents send questions in advance to SHOP@covered.ca.gov. Key agenda topics: Agent Certification timeline, General Agents, Key policy decisions and Open Q&A.
This webinar is intended for licensed agents who are interested in participating in Covered California. Hosted by Michael Lujan, Director of Sales and Marketing

The California Healthcare Eligibility, Enrollment, and Retention System (CalHEERS) sponsors - Covered California and the Department of Health Care Services - are inviting public comments the following document:
BSD2 - CalHEERS-SAWS-MEDS Interface Document (CalHEERS - Statewide Automated Welfare System [SAWS] - Medi-Cal Eligibility Data System [MEDS] Business Services Definition [BSD]) Interface
The BSD2 provides the business and technical approach for the data exchange between CalHEERS, SAWS, and MEDS. The BSD describes the interface business functionality and technical approach. The interface operates as a bridge enabling access to the CalHEERS eligibility rules and facilitating a unified case view of the data. The transactions defined herein, facilitate the business functions required by the Health Exchange, and the implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
